The wonderful team of Jennings and Wemyss never ceases to amaze; their stories are always fascinating, well-written listening experiences. Several of these stories are more poetic than usual, even melancholy. Stig Wemyss never disappoints, always narrating perfectly. The contrast in his vocal creations is astonishing; characters can sound dear and sweet one minute and become horrid, hectoring bullies the next. The best are a 95-year-old grandfather and his grandson, who stop at nothing to outdo each other. Wemyss’s Aussie accent adds to listeners’ fun. He even creates his own sound effects when he pronounces words with near onomatopoeia. Each ending is surprising and believable.
