COUNTING ON GRACE by Elizabeth Winthrop, read by Lili Gamache



Gamache creates a remarkably resourceful and sympathetic character in Grace, a 12-year-old girl who leaves school to work at the mill in a Vermont town in 1910. This excellent historical novel was inspired by the photographs of child labor activist Lewis Hines.
