Bennett’s plays are a treat for anyone who appreciates literate wit. All three of these superbly acted plays exhibit a youthful mischief and a mature undertone of bitterness. In the comedy KAFKA’S DICK, the Czech writer’s ghost appears to a suburban insurance salesman. Bennett stars in the satirical FORTY YEARS ON as a stuffy, old headmaster. AN ENGLISHMAN ABROAD concerns a chance encounter in Moscow between a notorious spy and a famous actress.
